Hades early game is not the best so you'll wanna play carefully making sure to max your 3 first then your 1 while putting points into your Ult whenever you have the chance. If you plan on playing Hades I'd suggest banning at least one of them, and if you have to choose I'd ban Erlang Shen only because if you can make it to late game Chaac becomes easy to deal with as his late game is pretty bad.įinally come late game you can start using your 1 to engage enemies with little to no fear as you should be strong enough to burst an enemy god 100 to 0 in seconds if you use his combo 1, 2, AA, 3, and if you Ult is up finish them off with 4, even if they have a leap or beads or even Sanctuary they are sure to be left with only a shred of health and a well placed AA will finish them off. Warrior's like Chaac, and Erlang Shen are your biggest threat because of how tanky they are early to mid game before you have the power and pen to deal with them. (Also if any enemy has blight on them your 3 heals more and does more damage). Hades's heal doesn't just heal himself, it also heals any ally (god or minion) that is nearby which is great when clearing wave after either killing your opponent or bullying them out of lane as this gives you a wave of minions at full health to push the enemy tower so use his 3 as close to your melee minions as possible so you can clear and heal. Hades used to be a Guardian back in the early days of Smite and his stats still reflect some of his past as he is quite a bit tankier than most other mages (besides Zhong Kui) or at least enough that he can take a bit more damage than most can this allows you to in Duel build just one defensive item against most hunters and if you play smart that's all you'll need. Otherwise you'll wanna stick to AA minion's to apply blight then get to the side of the wave use your 2 then your 3 to clear and heal if needed. With Hades you don't want to use his number 1 to engage as you may need it in a pinch to escape if you find yourself in a bad situation, unless of course you know your opponent won't be able to kill you or you know you can kill them with your main 123 combo before they can kill you. The reason I don't get Bancroft's Talon on him is because of his heal from his 3. But if against physical I go pen boots, Book of Thoth, Breastplate of Valor, Obsidian Shard, Rod of Tahuti, then sell Vampiric Shroud for Soul Reaver. If against a mage I finish Warlock's go into cooldown boots, then Book of Thoth, Bulwark, Obsidian Shard, and finish up with Rod of Tahuti. If against a physical god however I start with Vampiric Shroud and tier 1 boots 4 health pots and 4 mana pots. Now if I am against another mage I'll just go with tier 2 Warlock's Sash with 2 mana pots and 1 health pot, and either Sanctuary or Beads as my active. Now as we usually do I'll start of giving my usual build for Hades, remember this is only a general guideline of what I have found to work best for me in a Duel environment but some items are situational and I encourage you to experiment and find a build that works best for your play style. In my opinion he is one of the best Gods to use especially in Duel and in this guide I'll explain exactly why that is so without further ado let's begin like we always do. Hello once again my fellow lovers of Smite I'm back again with yet another God Guide for use in Duel! The topic of today being of course one of my personal favorites: Hades Lord of the Underworld.
